snow???
Caroline and Lucas in what we hope is the last snow-adventure-followed-by-hot-chocolate-day of the season.
I got to accompany a handful of kids from Noah's level to the Eloise Butler Wildflower gardens on the second day of the year it was open. We saw many wildflowers sprouting through the ground, a fox, a deer, a barred owl ( all staring at it in this picture), and a wild turkey. We also found owl pellets ( the hunks owl regurgitate after eating prey whole) and poked at the bones in them - SUPER cool!!
Lucas and I took advantage of the one 70 degree day we've had so far this year and rode the tag-along bike to school and out for lunch, EATING OUTSIDE!!!, after school.
Lucas was feeling creative in the kitchen. I was making dinner and left the kitchen for a moment but before I left, Lucas asked which plate I was dishing up was mine. When I came back, he had decorated my plate and salad with purple sparkles 'because I am so special to him'. After my initial 'WHAT!!' I was so grateful for my sweet sweet boy. BUT I told him next time to replace the sparkles with a note or some edible flowers or something.
