weekend on waterfront

We had to evacuate our house for a few nights when they did the final coating of the flooring. The four of us stayed downtown Friday night, and Saturday Craig went to Chicago and the boys and I stayed on the waterfront. We had a great time exploring the area and the boys couldn't get enough of rolling down the hill and running. A little wrong of me, but I found their dizzy running hilarious. The dog you see at the end of the video - the boys ended up throwing the ball to him for almost an hour. They SO wish Aspen was a fan of fetching! Next time you are in town ask me to take you the Guthrie theater - it's open to the public most days and has incredible views of the city! We took a pic of ourselves in the reflective glass of the theater.

Breakfast in the hotel room. Noah's idea of a great breakfast is any one where he can also sit with a book.

Stone arch bridge - the bridge in the background is the one that collapsed 5years ago.

We went trick or treating with Lucas's good friend Kefe who lives in our temporary neighborhood.

Tonight will be the first night we sleep in our house!!!!!YEAH!!!!

And as an extra bonus, we will get to be sharing our house 7am - 5pm with several nice gentlemen, such as the ones pictured, every day for the next few weeks.
It's move-in ready, don't you think??

Halloween prep

Abe Lincoln, Vampire, Witch, and Ghostbuster ( not pictured)

Seriously fabulous costume and oh did he wear it well. I can take absolutely no credit. All I did was look it up on line and order it.

He was so pleased with himself. Flying all around the house.

Applying the black eyebrows...

And Lucas had to have some scary face paint. We had a great time trick or treating - lots of highly decorated houses and tons of people out - we went in our temp. neighborhood. Loved it and kids swooned over the not just full sized, but KING sized candy bars one house gave out. We decided we all preferred to trick or treat in our little quiet neighborhood where we know everyone we pass.
