Lucas's baby naming ceremony was beautiful. One of the most meaningful parts for me was the portion the rabbi had Craig and I read - 'May we allow our son to life his own life and celebrate his individual path. May we help him to live and grow and have the wisdom to let go gracefully. May we always raise our voices in happiness at what he is rather than in vexation at what he is not.' We will have succeeded in parenthood if we can live up to that promise.

Yes, Craig and I are model parents. We could write the book on how to raise your children with great sleeping habits. As we decided before Noah was born, our bed was going to be our bed, and not the place for our kids to sleep. As you can see, we've stuck to our plan and should be commended for it.

Noah's weekend of partying

Noah had quite the weekend - a sweet 16 party Friday night for his cousin Erica and a live reggae band next door for our neighbor's going away party on Saturday.

so ready for baby

We are all beyond ready for this baby to arrive and I think I will lose my mind if there is one more false alarm. Some others living in this house might argue that I already have. Noah has been busy practicing for his new role, althought I think he's starting to not believe that it will ever happen.
